She left this morning, and I don't really know what I'm going to do without her. She was the best house guest we've ever had and I really think she is my best friend. I totally worship her and everything that she is. I hope she comes back soon. *sob*

A Fond Farewell
Last night was Lulu's final night in the big city. We went for a slice of pizza downtown, and then to the wedding reception I made cupcakes for. It was a fun night, and Lindsay ended up driving us home! She was pretty nervous navigating downtown and the freeway, but we made it home safely and now she has something to brag about.

This is Bob. The bride. Do you love her wedding dress or what?? She is a pirate and will punch you in the face.
Gus was tearing it up on the dance floor. Alone.
If you have ever wondered how D feels about affection, here ya go.

Fish
Went swimming at IvyWild yesterday. We got inspired watching the Olympics, and Griffin was pretending to swim in the living room so it seemed like a good idea. It was fun after Griffin got over his fear of the water. And yes, I got a sunburn even though I had sunscreen on. Stupid skin cancer won't leave me alone.

The Redeem Team
There was a major badminton throwdown at our pad last night. It came down to The Redeem Team (Tito and Wes) versus Soft Serve (Dodongo and Lulu). Needless to say W and I annihilated the Softies. The best part of the whole night was Jerry's diving military body roll for the birdie. He aaaaalmost had it. It was the coolest.

I can't hang.
Bob (the fighter), Sara, Lindsay.
Tito, Sara.
Motion City Soundtrack. (you can't really see it, but the keyboard player has INCREDIBLE hair.)
Lindsay (saw a cute boy).
When I went to my first Warped Tour seven years ago it was a true punk fest. Tickets were cheap (punks are poor ya see), everyone was my age, the bands were amazing, and I was not afraid to mosh. My how times have changed. I took Lindsay for her first time yesterday and it was kind of ... uh... different. The ticket price has doubled, there are more corporate sponsors than bands, I was older than most of the fans by a decade, and all of the boys were wearing really tight girl pants. And it was hot. Unbearably so. We spent most of the day hiding in the shade, but it was still fun. The best part was pushing our way through the crowd (and getting out toes smashed) for Motion City Soundtrack, and seeing my friend running from security after she got in a fight. Good times.

Do they make a chip for this?
We did it. We got Griffin off the binky. He went cold turkey last Wednesday. I am actually very proud of him. He had a few rough naps and one hellish night, but he was very brave and accepted our explanation that the "mi-mi" was gone to help other babies.
He is really not a baby anymore.
