It is May 21st right?

Oh my gawd Spring what is your major malfunction? FFS it's almost the end of MAY. Get a life and hurry up already. Rude d-bag.

Anyway, here are some zoo pictures from one of the six days it has been sunny in 2010.

I need you

To help me name my Kindle. For reference, my computer is named Olive MacDanger. Something kinda similar would be both comforting and funny. GO FORTH AND NAME! The winner will receive something awesome from us.

The Post-Birthday World*

Gus prepares to eat all of my Blizzard cake.
I smooch up on my new Kindle. Darren is the best present giver.
Sleeping Kindle and my new (picked out and paid for by Gus) coffee mug.

*A great first-book-on-the-birthday-Kindle read I started this morning. By Lionel Shriver.

Brand spankin' new

Meet Griffin's newest cousin - Huntly Charles Pratt. Easter presents don't get any better than this amIright??!! He is adorably wrinkled and terribly smart. I'm pretty sure he can do long division by now. Griffin is obsessed and wants to either pretend to be him or talk about him all day every day. He wanted to take him to preschool on Tuesday for show and tell. I don't know how to explain that we live too far away for that to ever happen. It just doesn't seem right.

Love you bro (and Jess!). Good work.

School

Did ya'll know? Griffin started preschool. Like, uh, a month ago. Anyway, it's totally precious and his teacher is amazing and sweet and wow 4 whole hours a week without him. Turns out I am completely lost without him. I spend most of the time that he is away waiting anxiously to pick him up. Sometimes I show up half an hour (45 mins?) early. I have got to get a life.
